Brick-a-Brac is a collection of painted rocks and rubble by New York Artist Elizabeth Saloka, also known as Betty Rubble. The forty-ish small to medium-sized stones have been collected from sidewalks and construction zones around the New York area and transformed into characters, brands, products, and internet memes from American popular culture spanning from her childhood in the 80s to today.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Elizabeth Saloka (she/her) was born in South Korea and grew up in Minnesota. She found her first rock in New Jersey a decade ago, and painted it to look like a Nokia cellphone. Ever since, she has been on the lookout for street rocks and construction rubble to paint into whatever she sees in them, often products, foods and common objects from her life growing up in Minnesota and now as an adult.
