Between Family is a reflection on history, emotions, and choices within familial relationships. Inspired by my observations of many families, including my own.
There is sweetness and sadness
much gladness for one another
and look at us making it through
loving and learning in this life
we have each other.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Haley Dix (she/her) is a Creative Director who lives in Brooklyn. When she's not creating advertising campaigns, she writes poetry, fiction, and film scripts. Between Friends was her debut poetry collection, published in 2021, followed by Between Family, in 2024.
La Painderella, a short film co-written and directed by Haley is a 2025 selection for the Big Apple Film Festival, Art of Brooklyn Film Festival, and San Francisco Black Film Festival.
