A long winter calls for a welcome warm Spring. Come soak up the sun with these talisman-like friends who are trying their absolute best to bring you hope, luck and joy. I created these pieces to bring together my love of nature, character design, sunlight, and slow-paced living. During the winter of 2026, I was inspired to make these critters that can bring the same sense of calm, hope, and a budding energy that nature provides for me, and also asks us to hopefully slow down in this fast-paced city and stop and smell the (not pee-stained) roses.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
ShinYeon Moon (Shin) is an illustrator and educator based in New York, creating work that delves into themes of identity, nature, surreality, and fantasy. Moon holds an M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts in Illustration as Visual Essay,. She currently teaches BFA Illustration at the School of Visual Arts and Fashion Institute of Technology.
