This photo came from one of the first rolls I ever ran through my Canon AE-1, my first functioning SLR 35mm camera. In the spring of 2021, I travelled to Central Park. I don’t recall what for. While at the 72nd Street Station waiting for the train, I approached this man’s canvases. He asked me to take pictures of him with his artwork and I happily obliged. I never got his name nor did I see him again after that passing interaction.
